Eligibility requirements:
Fellowship applications at LSU Health Sciences Center in Cleft & Craniofacial will be considered on a yearly basis with the following criteria:
Graduate or expected graduation from a CODA accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program
U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or legal alien
Eligible for dental and/or medical licensure in the state of Louisiana
Must be credentialed with either a DDS/DMD and/or MD
Program Description: The Cleft Lip/Palate & Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship is a fully-accredited CODA comprehensive two-year fellowship encompassing the full spectrum of Cleft Lip/Palate & Craniofacial Surgery with interdisciplinary comprehensive work-up, treatment planning, and post-operative care.
Clinical focus includes:
Cleft Lip & Palate Repair
Craniofacial Syndrome Management
Velopharyngeal Insufficiency Repair
Vascular Tumor/Malformation Surgery
Craniosynostosis Repair
Management of the Pediatric Airway
